How an Eco Homes Assessment is calculated:

Category 1 - Energy and C02


In respect of category 1, it is proposed that energy efficient light fitting and bulbs will be provided. It should also be noted that the building has significant glazed areas which will provide much of the light needed during daylight hours.

It is intended that external clothes drying space is provided on the private inner facing balcony to the south of the plot, or in the rear garden area where a fixed wire can be run from the left front corner of the dwelling to a post on the rear boundary.

White goods will be provided by the developer and will be Eco Labelled goods, that is fridges and freezers will have an A+ rating and washing machines/dishwashers a B++ rating as a minimum standard.

Safe and secure cycle storage is provided to the south of the side in the side garden area.

For a two bedroom property the proposed development exceeds minimum unit sizes, so provision of an area to be dedicated as a home office is entirely practicable should the owner desire.
