How an Eco Homes Assessment is calculated: Category 9 - Ecology
The land is considered to have low ecological value, it is a cleared site where rubbish tipping can be a problem.
Ecological features (the tree) have been taken into account as the development has given due regard and planned for the protection of the tree to the south (left side of the site) and a report by Mr Paul Macqueen NCH, ARB, ND, ARB of Modern Arboricultural Services who is a qualified horticulturalist has confirmed that foundations laid within the radial of the tree roots will not cause damage to the structure or threaten the health of the tree (See report dated 23rd January 2006 attached) and sets out on page 4 under para 6.1 (a) to (e) a list of conditions which should if the application is granted form planning conditions attached to any such grant.
