Factsheet: Entryphones

If you experience problems with your entryphone system the following information may help you.

Entryphone Handset All problems concerning the internal handset are the responsibility of the leaseholder.

Entryphone System All problems concerning the entryphone system itself (usually at the main entrance to the property) are the responsibility of the managing agent (Ringley).

Questions to ask if your entryphone is not functioning.

Q: Are you using a remote access entryphone system (using your landline telephone)?
If so, have you changed your telephone number recently?

A: This needs to be reprogrammed by your service provider for a small fee. Call Ringley to arrange.

Q: Are any other flats experiencing a problem?

A: There may be a problem with the system's wiring. This could be anywhere between the control panel and the entryphone handset. Talking to tenants in other flats will help you to isolate the problem. All wiring between the entrance (or security gate) and the back of the handset is the responsibility of the managing agent.

Q: Has there been any damage to the handset?

A: Faulty handsets can result from accidental damage or misuse. Repair and/or replacement is the responsibility of the leaseholder.
