Survey & Valuation Team
Ringley's experienced valuation team
provide a range of valuation services to
a wide variety of clients including
secured lending, lease extensions,
freehold enfranchisement, development
appraisals and short lease valuations.
The strangest thing we have valued is a
pathway (ransom strip to a development
site) and we are insured to value
properties up to £20M. As commercial
values whilst we value residential
property, when we do it is usually
because either it is part of a
portfolio, or perhaps there is a
development angle. Our work is varied,
so is our patch, applicants need a clean
driving licence and must be personable
as networking for information comes with
the job.
Graduate trainees are unable to join
this team unless at least 2 years of
their RICS APC diary has been completed
and there is a reasonable likelihood of
becoming a Chartered Surveyor. Ringley
does however provide graduate roles in
other departments and an early placement
in the Professional Services Support
Team could be part of such a programme.
This would provide exposure to yields
analysis and transactions to increase
market awareness, agreement of terms of
engagement, performing general client
duties, and gaining a grounding in
landlord and tenant issues. APC
Surveyors must be absolutely committed
to self learning in the fields of law,
valuation and building technology. For
graduates a first class degree or upper
second is required to for entry to this
team. Otherwise 2 years post
qualification experience in commercial
valuations is our pre-requisite.
